I had a science teacher once who gave me a little tingle like that. We were actually about the same age. I was going back to school to try to finish up a degree. It didn't work out, but I still remember her. She even looked a bit like Elspeth, but with straighter hair. And Science! She was actually a particle physicist by trade, teaching low level Physical Science classes to pay the bills.
